RULES
1.1
The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of US SAILING, the
rules of PHRF, and the rules of participating classes (except as any of the
foregoing are altered by the Sailing Instructions), by the Sailing Instructions
and the Notice of Race.
ELIGIBILITY
& CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
2.1
Ratings:
All
boats in cruiser, spin and non-spin classes competing for the FCSA Fall Series
Trophy must have a valid First Coast Sailing Association PHRF rating. A PHRF
handicap may be obtained from NJYC Handicapper, Cecilia Pairo. First time
competitors will be allowed to enter without a rating certificate but will not be
scored with the PHRF fleet.
2.2
Sail Numbers: Boats shall have their sail
numbers on the mainsail, spinnakers, and each headsail having a LP measurement
exceeding 130% of the base of the fore triangle.
2.3
Entry: Eligible boats are those who have
officially entered by completing an entry form with the Navy Jacksonville Yacht
Club during the registration period.
ENTRY
FEE

The
entry fee is $30 for PHRF fleet.
A differential entry fee for US Sailing members, with proof of current
membership, is $25.
The registration fee for the One Design fleet is $10.
Checks should be made payable to Navy Jacksonville Yacht Club.
CLASSES
4.1
PHRF
Fleet: The fleet will be divided into PHRF Spinnaker, PHRF Non-Spinnaker,
and Cruiser classes.
These classes may be further divided if entries permit.
4.2
ONE-DESIGNS: Classes anticipated, but not limited to, are 420,
Flying Scots, Lasers, Flying Junior, JY-15, Catamarans.
Four boats will constitute a one-design class.
4.3
BOAT RENTAL:
Lasers, Flying Scots and Flying Juniors are available at NAS Jax Marina
for qualified skippers.

8.1
The
Low Point Scoring System
will apply.
8.2
PHRF
Fleets:
Times will be calculated using time allowances calculated by applying PHRF handicaps
as shown on the entry list and the distance assigned to the race to the elapsed
time. One race is scheduled.
8.3
One Designs: Three races are scheduled, of which one race shall be completed to constitute a
series.
If less than three races are completed, a boat’s total score will be
the sum of her scores for all races.

First,
second and third place prizes will be awarded in classes of seven
or more entered boats. First and second place prizes will be awarded in classes
of five or six entered boats. First place prize will be awarded in classes of
four or less boats entered.

Due to unique NAS Security requirements, you must have Photo ID;
i.e. drivers license, car registration in your name, and proof of insurance.
A NJYC representative will be at the gate at 1030 am to 1130 am to sign
in participants.
Dockage

on the southern face of the “F” dock, unless otherwise directed.
